Our Story

After over 15 years leading finance functions across manufacturing, mining, agri-logistics, retail and hospitality, Martin Matamisa saw firsthand how many businesses — especially SMEs — struggled to access experienced financial leadership without the cost of a full-time executive.

Many growing businesses need more than basic bookkeeping. They need strategic financial guidance, but cannot yet justify an in-house finance team.

Pious Business Consultancy was founded on a simple belief: that businesses of all sizes deserve accurate, professional and dependable financial management. The business began operating in November 2020 and was formally incorporated on 14 May 2021, marking the start of its journey as a fully-fledged professional services firm giving businesses access to senior-level financial expertise on a flexible, professional basis.

Martin Matamisa is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) with an MSc in Strategic Management and over 15 years of finance leadership experience across manufacturing, mining, agri-logistics, retail and hospitality sectors in Zimbabwe and the region.

He leads Pious Business Consultancy’s service delivery across bookkeeping, payroll, taxation, company secretarial services and business advisory — bringing corporate-grade financial expertise to businesses that would otherwise struggle to access it.
